APS Current Account
A cheque account is a common reference to an APS Current Account.
To open an APS Current Account:
- A minimum deposit of €25 is required and;
- You must be 18 years of age.
When opening an APS Current Account, you are given the option to apply for myAPS internet and mobile banking service, apply for a chequebook, an APS Debit Card and an overdraft subject to the Bank’s approval.
APS Savings Account

To open an APS Savings Account:
- A minimum deposit of €25 is required and;
- You must be 16 years of age.
When opening an APS Savings Account, you are given the option to apply for myAPS internet and mobile banking service and an APS Debit Card.
APS Online Account
The APS Online Account paves way for a more convenient, and efficient way of banking. This type of APS Deposit comes with a favourable interest rate, compared to a savings account, and allows for reduction in the use of paper and more time-efficient.
To open an APS Online Account:
- A minimum deposit of €25 is required and;
- You must be 16 years of age.
When opening an APS Online Account, you are given the option to apply for myAPS internet and mobile banking service, an APS Debit Card and an overdraft subject to the Bank’s approval.
APS Student Online Account

To open an APS Student Virtual Account:
- A minimum deposit of €25 is required and;
- You must be 16 years of age.
When opening an APS Student Virtual Account, you can apply for myAPS internet and mobile banking service, an APS Debit Card and for an overdraft (if over 18 years) and subject to the Bank’s approval.
APS Basic Payment Account
The APS Basic Payment Account gives you the flexibility to receive and make payments at your own convenience.
To apply for an APS Basic Payment Account:
- You must be legally residing in an EU country and do not hold another Deposit Account in Malta and;
- 18 years of age
When opening an APS Basic Payment Account, you are given the option to apply for myAPS internet and mobile banking service, an APS Debit Card to at your convenience.
APS Term Deposit Account
